Switching Paths: Owning Your Missteps and Embracing a Mission that Fulfills You with Andrea Márquez
SHOW NOTES
Do you live a purposeful life?
I’ll give you a second to take that question in. For today’s episode of Ellas, I spoke with the wonderful Andrea Márquez about the long journey to discover that purpose after ignoring society’s idea of success.
Andrea is the Communications Manager at Hispanic Communications Network and host and producer of LatinEQUIS, a new platform geared toward Latinx Millenials and Gen Z focused on motivating them to get involved in their communities through interviews with experts, leaders, academics, and anyone with a unique perspective.
In this empowering conversation, Andrea opened up about growing up with a clear schedule of what her life would consist of and not taking the right steps after graduating from Columbia University. It all goes back to unconsciously embracing the ideas of success from others and not our own.
We talk about her long journey of going through the unstable freelance life Andrea did not want for herself, important advice about finding your mission and reminding you that it’s perfectly acceptable to live and own our own definition of happiness and success.
You are the one paving your journey, don’t ignore your ambitions or goals - no matter how small or big they might be.
So, while you listen to this episode, let me know if you do live a purposeful life that is fueled by your own dreams and fuzzy feelings.
